A native of Maryland, Marj maintains a studio in Chestertown, Maryland and has exhibited locally and in juried shows in the area. Her studio is on Cannon Street in Chestertown and is open to the public by chance or appointment. Working in oil with a painting knife or in pastel, Marj alternates between impressionism and abstraction.
Marj studied four years with New York colorist Sam Finestein and has taken workshops with Lois Griffel of the Cape Cod School of Art and Louis Escobeto.
Commissions include designing a Christmas Card for the Grant A Wish Foundation and designing and painting the Stations of the Cross for St. Andrews Church on the island of Anguilla, B.W.I.
An award-winning poet, editor, and teacher of ecopoetry, Meredith Davies Hadaway is the author of Fishing Secrets of the Dead, The River is a Reason, and At The Narrows (winner of the 2015 Delmarva Book Prize for Creative Writing). Her three volumes of poetry explore the birds, bugs, rivers, and marshes of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Her focus as both poet and teacher involves “ecopoetry” and the power of a particular place to engage and enact connection. Hadaway has received fellowships from the Virginia Center for Creative Arts, an Individual Artist Award from the Maryland State Arts Council and multiple Pushcart nominations. She is also a certified therapeutic musician who plays celtic harp. Hadaway holds an MFA in Poetry from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is a former Rose O’Neill Writer-in-Residence at Washington College where she taught and served as chief marketing officer for 30 years.
Jeff and Tina are a husband and wife team that were thrilled to have the opportunity to work together on this project blending the creative arts with the healing arts.
Valentina Morani is owner of Evolution Health Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine located in Chestertown Maryland. She is board certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl.O.M.), a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Maryland, a reiki master teacher, a certified Acutonics® practitioner, and a Senior Faculty member with Acutonics Institute of Integrative Medicine.
Jeff Davis is a multi-instrumentalist and an independent recording artist with two releases of original compositions – Happy Cat Make You Lucky and Cosmos. As a member of the indie-rock band, No Flies oN Frank, Davis played regionally for several years. Jeff currently performs in a duet with Randall Butler and plays in support of other local artists.
